Does Bamboo Cloud still require an Amazon account?

ricsmania April 15, 2016

Hello,

I have read that since December 2015 Bamboo Cloud supports remote agents. Considering I won't use elastic agents, does that mean the Amazon account is no longer a requirement?

This page says it is required: https://www.atlassian.com/software/bamboo/pricing?tab=host-in-the-cloud

"Because Bamboo Cloud connects to Amazon EC2 to create and host build agents, an Amazon EC2 account is required"

This page says it isn't required: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bamboocloud/aws-account-for-bamboo-737183797.html

Bamboo

AWS account required

Comment
CloudnoRuns builds on local agents and/or in cloud (with Elastic Bamboo)

So, which one is correct?

Our documentation is out of date. Yes, you can use Bamboo cloud without an Amazon account if you run your remote agents elsewhere.
