I have the following scenario: I have two of Agents (Agent A and Agent B) and three plans (Plan A1, Plan A2 and Plan B1). Both Agents have the same capabilities, Plan A1 and PlanA2 have same requirements, however Plan B has different requirements than Plan A1 and Plan A2. I dedicated Agent A to Plan A1 and Plan A2, we are noticing that even though, Agent B has the same capabilities, it will not build Plan A1 or Plan A2 if any of them are idled, while Agent A builds either Plan A1 or Plan A2. We thought that Agent B would still be shared across any builds that meets the build requirements. We are assuming that once you dedicate an agent to a plan, only that the dedicated agent can build the plan.
Unfortunately the dedication goes both directions. It is also an exclusive assignment of a plan to an agent.
I do not know why Atlassian made this restriction.
