Hey there, we're trying to integrate Bamboo Server with Jira Cloud, and can't seem to get the build information to show up in the development panel. We've got the 2LO/OAuth application link set up, and JIRA tickets are showing up in Bamboo, but no Bamboo info is appearing in JIRA. Our repository is Github and we are using the github addon for jira cloud to get the Branches/Pull Requests etc to show up.

Does anyone know why this isn't showing up? Is it supported on JIRA cloud? I've tried searching the knowledge base and can only find JIRA server articles. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Grahame Allen,

Usually this type of issue happens the the application links are not properly configured.
Please check:

  • Does Bamboo have public access to the internet?
Jira cloud needs to be able to browse Bamboo.
  • Does Bamboo have its proxy configuration properly set on <Bamboo_Install>/conf/server.xml file?
  • If Bamboo runs HTTPS, is it using public certificates or not?
Bamboo should use official certificates, not have self-signed.
  • Do you see any XSRF errors on Bamboo logs (<Bamboo_Home>/logs/atlassian-bamboo.log)?
XSRF errors can be related to proxy issues.
  • When you configure the application links, is the configuration handshake happening all at once?
It means that if you remove the application link endpoints from both sides (Jira and Bamboo) and try to create it on Jira side, both sides will be properly set.
