Bitbucket/Bamboo Migration

Hi team we have a requirement where we have two servers in different locations for bitbucket and Bamboo.
we have the following questions :

we have to deploy 5 agents in different locations , what would be the best way to implement it considering the factors of High Availability.

possible questions are :

• What are the requirements for your running builds, e.g. do they need large amounts of memory/disk/swap space?
• How many users will be using Bamboo at any given time? Like any web application, the system resource needed is proportional to the load experienced by the server

Hi there, 

Unfortunately Bamboo does not currently have High Availability capabilities, but some of our users have managed to make their own solutions for this. Please take a look at Bamboo in a High Availability Configuration for some insight on how to do so. Please bear in mind though that such a configuration is considered custom and therefore we will be limited as to what support we can provide for it.

As far as your questions of system requirements you can check out Bamboo Best Practice - System requirements to get a baseline idea of what you will need. That same link also references how many users a given hardware configuration can ideally support. There are going to be several factors other than just number of users that are going to play a role in determining your system requirements such as types of builds, artifact size, code size, and how many branches etc you are concurrently trying to build. For that reason our guidelines may not work in all situations.
