Bamboo OnDemand / Jira OnDemand / BitBucket Integration

Kris Brown April 1, 2012

Hey guys,

We have been a Jira user for about a year now. We recently went from Beanstalkapp to BitBucket and are trying to configure Bamboo. Originally we were waiting for Bamboo 4 to come out and it has (we tried on Bamboo 3 without success). My question is, how do we get our Bamboo OnDemand to upgrade to Bamboo 4? Right now it is: Version: 3.0.4-studio-8, Build: 2302, Build Date: 3/15/12.

We've been trying and trying to figure how to set it up correctly (on Bamboo 3) but the videocasts and instructions are all off slightly, but its enough to not let us go to the next step. Like we can't choose BitBucket as the repository URL (as in the videocast), our only option is https://mycompanyname.atlassian.net/svn, when we trying to create a "build" in Jira. I guess my second question would be, is how do we enable the option to select "BitBucket"?

Thanks for your help!

Currenty it is not (yet) possible to integrate the OnDemand Bamboo with either Bitbucket or Github. We are working on making this feature available for our OnDemand customers.
Please see and vote on the following feature request

Unfortunately at the moment we do not have an exact ETA for this.

We have to wait for Atlassian to upgrade OnDemand to use Bamboo version 4: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Atlassian+OnDemand+Application+Versions

I don't know about BitBucket --rob
