Bamboo OnDemand EC2 Instance has old AWS CLI

I need to use the AWS CLI as part of a deployment script running on a Bamboo OnDemand instance. However, the EBS x86_64 (linux) image has version 0.9.3 while the current version is 1.3.6. How long until the image is updated?

Will it cause any problems for Bamboo if I update it?

Image update is not scheduled. You can update the CLI, Bamboo doesn't use it.
