Farrukh Umarov June 16, 2014

I've setup linked repository using ty Git but Bamboo doesnt show all branches from this repository. Is there any limit for number of branches you can have in one repository?

to anyone finding this question and trying to get github to work I managed to get around it by right clicking the select box and going to inspect element. Where it shows all the <option>branch</option> just rename one of the "branch" fields with your desired branch and hit enter. Then without refreshing the page select that option and save.

Added my comments there. This limit makes bamboo useless for us or for anyone else who using branch development model. On bamboo documentation page you're suggesting this branch development model but in same time limiting amount of branches your repository can have.

Same problem with amount of repositories. We don't see them all! We have about 50 repositories and I think see only 20- of them. What's the point limiting them? Ok, if you want to limit number of repositories or branches to display in bamboo let me (customer) decide which one you want to use and which ones you don't.

This is really frustrating, I spent 1 week on configuring continious integration for our company and only this small thing ruining all our plans.

Hi Farrukh,

Would be possibe to confirm if you have your repositories under GitHub, please? If so, GitHub has changes its API by providing a pagination to its repositories where every requests made returns multiple items paginated to 30 items by default.

Please, refer to https://developer.github.com/v3/#paginationfor further information.

There is an improvement request https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-14576in our backlog and I would suggest you on adding any comments to the this issue as well as voting https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Watching+and+Voting+on+an+Issueon the issue to create it's popularity and likelihood of being implemented in a future release.

For more information on how Atlassian implements new features and improvements please see the following document:

My apologies that I don't have a solution for you at this time.

Kind regards,
Rafael

Hi Farrukh,

Thank you for your question.

Would be possible to inform how many branches do you have on your repository, please? At moment, Bamboo has a limitation to 30 branches being displayed.

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-14637

I would suggest you on adding any comments to the issue above as well as [voting|https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Watching+and+Voting+on+an+Issue] on the issue to create it's popularity and likelihood of being implemented in a future release.

For more information on how Atlassian implements new features and improvements please see the following document:

As a workaround, I would suggest you on disabling branches you no longer use so then others will be visible to you in Bamboo.

Kind regards,
Rafael

Ask Atlassian to check the logs? What about permissions?
