Avoiding Bamboo re-build after changing working directory

The above article specifies that when changing the directory, Bamboo will perform a clean build of all plans.

Does anyone know if the clean build can be avoided (either by copying the content of the original directory, or through other means)?

Yes, just copy over the content of your current build directory.
