Add new executable to task not working

Bjorn De Rijcke November 21, 2015

Hello,

I'm currently trying out Bamboo to compare it to other CI software. I'm having a hard time to configure MSTest on the server.

Since we use a buildserver without visual studio, I have to following packet installed: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48152

But when I try to add a reference to the installed software (the Ms Visual Studio 2015 Agent) at

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE

The web interface refuses to add my new executable:

I first though it was because the browser was not supported, So I tried both in Chrome and in Internet Explorer - to no avail.

Am I missing something here?

Greetings,

It seems that you hit this bug. Workaround is to add the executable either as "Server capability" or "Agent capability" (whichever suits your use case better). Details of the workaround are described in the ticked I've linked.

The bug will be fixed in upcoming 5.10 release.
