So Bamboo's build agents run as user but deployments run as root?

Edited

~So I'm going through my trial of bamboo right now and getting all the user permissions sorted is kind of a pain. Currently runing on Ubuntu 16.

I've got most of it worked out however when I go to finally setup a deployment project, everything stopped working. I spent an hour verifying that the bamboo user 'bamboo' was all logged into gcloud and that it could update kube etc., but the deployments kept failing and path wasn't updating etc. So I added a line in the deployment script to output `whoami` and it turns out it was root!

Is this normal? Can I change this?~

Disregard. I just remembered that I'm not running as a service, so the user wasn't set to bamboo so i was running as root. That's a different problem I need to ask someone about.
