SCIM-sync Teams EAP - You can now see Atlassian Team activity in audit logs

Hi EAP folks! 👋

Thanks for your patience and for your feedback while using this feature. We're now looking to have this available to all customers by the end of March.

As a part of the EAP, we're excited to announce that you can now see org-wide Atlassian Team activity in audit logs.

This comes with Atlassian Guard, which you all have access to - please read below on the events you will be able to see.

How do I use the feature?

1. In the top navigation bar, click `security`

2. In the side navigation bar, click `audit log`

What audit log events can I see?

You can see the following:

  • Team created
  • Team deleted
  • Team restored
  • Team member added
  • Team member removed
  • Team description changed
  • Member requested to join team
  • Membership changed to normal team
  • Membership changed to normal team
  • Team linked to SCIM-synced group
  • Team unlinked from SCIM-synced group

You should be able to filter for these events under the heading 'team management'.

After EAP, who will get audit logs?

Audit logs is a feature that comes with Atlassian Guard.

If you have Atlassian Guard Standard, you will get Team lifecycle events i.e. team creation, team deletion, team membership changes, team name changes, team to group connections, and team restorations.

If you have Atlassian Guard Premium, in addition to the above Team lifecycle events, you will get all team activity events available including team profile events and team connection events e.g. connecting team to products.

We will have support documentation coming with this.

Hi @April Chi : Does it means that "SCIM-sync Teams EAP" will be available to all customers? Or only the logs?

You hide logs behind a paywall. Seriously?

Hey @Jared Schmitt ,

Thanks for the feedback! I understand your concern around audit logs and their accessibility.

Unfortunately, audit logs has always been a part of Atlassian Guard - this is another offering as in addition to audit logs, it provides a comprehensive set of features that ensures enhanced security and compliance.

Let me know if you have any further questions or feedback!

Hey @jurgen_lehoucke_liantis_be ,

Hope you're well and thanks for the feedback!

- SCIM-synced Teams or Managed Teams will be available to customers who have at least 1 premium or enterprise license in the following products: Jira, Confluence, Loom, or Compass.

- If you have Atlassian Guard Standard, you will already have access to audit logs.

- By end of March when this becomes available to the public, Atlassian Teams activity will show up in audit logs.

- Atlassian Guard Standard customers will see team lifecycle events such as team creation, deletion, membership changes, name changes, group <> team connections, and restorations.

- Atlassian Guard Premium customers will be able to see more Team events such as team profile and team connection events e.g. connection Team to products.

Let me know if that makes sense and let me know if you have any further questions/feedback!
