Speaker submissions open for Fail Tales, an upcoming storytelling event in celebration of failure

Hey, Speaker Bench!

We've got an amazing upcoming opportunity for you to practice your speaking skills and also to grow in storytelling on a unique but resilient theme: failure.

Why Fail Tales?

We hope to provide a space where the intimacy of storytelling can influence attitudes in trying new things, improving beliefs about ourselves and our teams, and ultimately, changing the culture of work!

What will Fail Tales look like?

In this May event, we would like to feature three vulnerable stories about managing failure. These stories should not take longer than 5-7 minutes to tell, but should incorporate the spirit of taking risks and being open to opportunity.

How do I become a Fail Tales keynote storyteller?

If this sounds like you, please submit a one-minute video of yourself summarizing your story through the our Fail Tales submission link by April 15, 2022.

It should include:

  1. Who you are now or were at the time of your story.

  2. What you and/or your team was trying to accomplish.

  3. Why your team approached your goal in the way it did.

  4. The results of what happened and how it made you feel.

  5. What you have learned.

If chosen, you will work with an Atlassian presentation coach to rehearse your story. And, receive a thank you gift—a Speaker Kit so you're all presenter ready. The bright 10″ ring light will keep you well lit, and the studio-quality mic will make sure your audience hears every word.

We can't wait to hear your submissions! Keep an eye out to register for the event in our Teamwork Lab group, and go ahead and join the group for updates!
