Hi all
I am very interested to hear and read people's ideas, implementations and use cases with User properties.
I am referring to both of these:
https://support.atlassian.com/user-management/docs/update-roles-and-properties-for-jira-users/ - user properties on the user on the front end managed by admins
and
https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/v3/api-group-user-properties/#api-group-user-properties - the user properties for connect apps
My first uncomfortability - for the lack of a better word - is that the 2 above are independant of one another. Ie. adding user properties via a connect app/API does not appear on the front end user properites (even if it is read only) and vice versa.
My second one being the fact that the user account or profile that appears when you hover over an assignee or reporter or user field - does not have the ability to show this. (i've seen this article by Angelica, thanks, it is very creative BTW, but I would like some more native and configurable functionality)
Please share (what you are allowed to) to have some ideas and see where pain points lie?
