I am going to migrate a Jira Server (version 8.5) to a cloud site. On the Jira Server are several Apps are installed that store data itself (probably at the moment in the database, not by the means of customfields).
My question: will those Apps "lose" all their data and on cloud I start from scratch or are they migrated, also? Or differs that from App to App.
(All under the assumption that the App is available for Cloud, of course).
Thanks for any idea in advance.
Best regards,
Birgit

Hi @bschmi ,
Right now it depends on the app - some have clear migration paths and some you'll need to reach out to the vendor (and some apps don't require data migration at all).
I'd recommend the below resources to get started:
It's also worth noting that we're working with our Marketplace partners to deliver automated app migrations later this year.
Best,
Miles
