Migrating from previous versions

shinkrelian May 13, 2013

We are testing a migration form jira from 4.3.4 to JIRA 5.2.11, and the jira enhancer plugin from 2.2-SNAPSHOT to 3.4.0 , but after importing the data we get the following error during the issue indexing

ira.issue.managers.DefaultCustomFieldManager] Could not load custom field type plugin with key 'com.tuncaysenturk.jira.plugins.jira-enhancer-plugin:last-closed-date'. Is the plugin present and enabled?

we understand that some columns were removed, so what is the recomended way to complete de migration?

Hi Javier,

Have you tried migration plan within wiki documentation?

https://bitbucket.org/tuncaysenturk/jira-enhancer-plugin/wiki/JIRA%20Enhancer%20Plugin%20-%20Version%20History

There is a "Migrating to 3.x version"section in the documentation.

However, there is another way to migrate the plugin as well.

You can delete all custom field entries starting with "com.tuncay...". As Jira Enhancer Plugin does not store any historical value on database (all custom fields are calculated custom fields), you can make sure that nothing will happen to your data.

Then add new custom fields.

If you have any further question please keep in touch,

Regards
