We've got lots of AI news to cover, so let's dive in.
First up, News Corp, the owner of The Wall Street Journal, The Times, and The Sun, has struck a multi-year deal with OpenAI. OpenAI will use News Corp's journalistic content to train its AI models, with the goal to improve the quality and accuracy of AI-generated text with real-world news. News Corp. and OpenAI strike ‘multi-year global partnership’ deal to use journalistic content to improve ChatGPT (CNBC)
Next, NinjaTech launched autonomous AI agents that utilize AWS's Inferentia and Trainium chips instead of GPUs. Lastly, Amazon is planning a big upgrade for Alexa with new GenAI features. The new version, called Alexa Plus, promises to offer more natural interactions, better personalization, and improved smart home integration. Amazon plans to give Alexa an AI overhaul — and a monthly subscription price (CNBC)

Interesting that news outlets, some of whom have been accused of publishing AI written articles, struck a deal with the big OpenAI to train the very platform that some of those articles were generated on!
