Hello all, I'm Trevan from Queen Creek, Arizona, USA.

  • With my free time, I spent time cycling and with my family.  Last week, I completed a 10-day cycling trek across India, from Chennai to Kochi (roughly 1000K/~600 miles).  20200213_181650.jpg
  • At work, I am a Functional Lead - working solo on Jira/JSD implementation projects or as a team lead on large migration projects - all centered around the Atlassian toolset.
  • Hmmm, I don't have just one: "Carpe Diem", "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.", "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again."
  • I answer Community questions to give back, and also to pay it forward.
  • Link to your proudest Accepted Answer : Haha, I'm still a noob to answering questions, but here's one: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Desk-questions/Service-Desk-Web-Portal-line-breaks-in-field-help/qaq-p/296071#M20271

I began using Atlassian tools back in 2014 and for the past 3 years have focused exclusively on Jira Service Desk/Jira/Confluence/Portfolio (in that order).

I'm currently certified by Atlassian in JSD, Jira, and Workflows.

I've spent 20+ years in Software (Product Mgr, Dev Mgr, CSM, Product Owner, Professional Services Mgr) and in Operations/IT (Network Admin, Sr. Systems Admin, Project Admin).

Hello and thank you for the invite!

Here we go with the intro questions,

  • I'm from Las Vegas Nevada
  • In my free time I like to hike, explore the are around me and and play table top games.
  • In my work time I'm a consultant for a solutions provider, so what ever my clients need me to do gets done.
  • Favorite quote I guess would have to be said by a few, "YOLO". It has a multitude of uses from actual inspiration or as a followup to "hold my beer".
  • I just generally like helping people with their problems. I spent a lot of time in this community when I was getting my feet wet in Jira, and now that I'm up to my shoulders I figure it's about time I help others learn to swim.
  • Not sure I have a favorite answer yet. Any that get accepted are a highlight to my week.

  • Where you're from:
I'm from a Javanrood, a small city in Kermanshah Province in IRAN

  • What you do with your work time:
I'm the leader of a five-member team that focuses on Implementing Atlassian Products in our company. I'm also an Atlassian Consultant/Trainer freelancer. We work on Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jira Servicedesk, and lots of Atlassian's plugins.

  • Why you answer Community questions:
My religion is humanity and kindness, and I think I get the good results of any seconds of effort for helping people. Happiness has come into my life since I familiar with Atlassian. During these ten years of experience with Atlassian products, I always have an excellent job with a high salary in my area. I think I owe to Atlassian, and in exchange for it, It's my honor to help Atlassian community members have a better experience with Atlassian products.
I hope to work at the Atlassian company someday, and these days, I apply for any job application that suits my abilities in the Atlassian community and not succeeded yet. :))

Hi there, Ajkarikari!

Lund sounds like a great place to spend your free time (what there is of it at least!). Very cool that you solve problems all day. Thanks for even solving some problems from fellow Community members!

Cheers,

HI All - I'm Michael from Buda, TX (right on the Austin city limits).  I've been an Atlassian fanboy for 7+ years starting out as an admin, doing some consulting, and now I'm product manager for the Bob Swift Atlassian CLI  at Appfire #dreamjob.

Favorite quote: "The dose makes the poison."

Why I answer questions:  As an Atlassian third party app product manager I need to stay grounded in the everyday work life of Atlassian admins.  Answering questions keeps my Atlassian skills sharp and let's me know what's happening around the world so I can shape the products I own to meet real world needs.

Proudest Atlassian answer: I've always enjoyed the business process side consulting / mentoring of my work.  This answer forced me to condense advice on making the Agile journey less intimidating and mysterious.

When I need a break I step outside my back door and tend to my vegetable garden.  Fresh air, fertile soil, and fresh vegetables are good for the soul.

No matter what I'm doing my 2nd best girl (after my wife) Bailey is hanging out with me (in this picture in my home office).

Edmond here from Columbia SC, US south east area.

Love some of the things we have done with Jira recently, specifically interested in automation and the scripts.

Other than work, my family and watching movies, I don't have any free time ;-)

We have been working with nextgen boards and are looking forward to seeing more progress there.
