Today, we are pleased to announce Atlassian Analytics and Atlassian Data Lake are moving out of Early Access and into a new Open Beta phase of release! With this milestone, Atlassian Analytics is now available for Cloud Enterprise customers of Jira Software and Jira Service Management, with Jira, Opsgenie, and Insight (Asset) product data available in the Atlassian Data Lake.
Since launching our Early Access Program earlier this year, we’ve gathered feedback, scaled infrastructure, and made many improvements to help your teams gather key insights from the vast amount of data in your Atlassian products. We’ve made changes to simplify the Atlassian Data Lake connection and chart creation process, improved access settings, and enabled more analytics use cases with the Atlassian Data Lake.
Thank you to everyone who tried out the product during EAP, hopped on calls with us, and shared your thoughts. Your usage and insights have been invaluable in helping us prioritize improvements and getting Atlassian Analytics to this milestone.
If you were already in the Early Access Program and just testing Atlassian Analytics on one or two sites with a limited set of users, we encourage you to share access with more people in your organization so they can utilize the power of Atlassian Analytics. The Atlassian Data Lake schema is in a stable state and we will not be making major breaking changes in the foreseeable future until we have the tools in place to better support schema migrations.
If you are new to Atlassian Analytics and the Atlassian Data Lake and are an eligible Cloud Enterprise customer, go ahead and add product access to your organization!
Atlassian Analytics and Atlassian Data Lake are currently available at no additional cost to Cloud Enterprise users of Jira Software or Jira Service Management and will continue to be so during Open Beta.
In-app chat has been enabled on all Atlassian Analytics sites as a way for you to directly give feedback to our product teams during Open Beta. You will find the purple button on the bottom right corner of Atlassian Analytics. To get help from our support team, please continue to use the support contact form.
This Community group is now open to all. Please tell your colleagues and invite them to join this Community group for all things Atlassian Analytics and Atlassian Data Lake!
Atlassian Analytics and Atlassian Data Lake now has a public project in https://jira.atlassian.com/ for you to follow bugs and suggestions. To submit a new bug or feature request, please contact support by selecting “Technical issues and bugs” and the Atlassian Analytics product.
We now have a knowledge base with help articles to supplement our documentation. More articles will be added in the coming weeks.
We’re excited to reach this Open Beta milestone and confident that Atlassian Analytics and Atlassian Data Lake can help you get powerful insights with your Atlassian data in the cloud and empower your users to make informed decisions!
We will continue improving the product during Open Beta. You can expect to see some exciting updates we are working on in the coming months:
New dashboard templates (working on now) and chart templates (coming soon) to make it easier to use our powerful chart creator
Creating and adding filter controls to your dashboards will get a lot easier
You will be able to share and embed Dashboards and Charts into Confluence and other Atlassian products where our platform editor is used (e.g. Jira, Atlas, Compass)
Updates to make the experience look and feel like the rest of the Atlassian family to minimize context switching
Tools to manage the Atlassian Data Lake Model updates so you are in control of when Atlassian Data Lake changes are adopted by your team.
So feel confident that the Product and Data Model are stable and you can roll out to more teams. Look out for more updates here in the Community and don’t hesitate to contact us if you have feedback or need advice.
Happy Charting,
❤️ Ben, the Atlassian Analytics and Atlassian Data Lake Teams.
