I want to use Trello, and manage my own acount with my org. email address. I have a user account based on that email address starting from Atlassian. This account was created and managed by my (so called) organization, but it was my ex-secretary who created it as admin for me, and she has left the organization many motnhs ago. She no longer holds her email address, yet she was flagged as the only admin for my account. We did not use many boards as we were trying the system and then soon left it. I now have a serious use for Trello and want to use my same org. email address. I don't mind deleting my previous managed account completely related to that same email address, and starting a new one with the same email address and under my own management. The system appears not to let me do so, and asks me to do it through my Org. admin. She is no longer here, and she does not even hold her old email address anymore.
What can I do? help?
Hi @Hani Haider ,
There's two options to solve this.
1) Contact support.atlassian.com and they will be able to assist you further having these restrictions removed.
2) Have your companies IT reactivate the persons account, reset their password then remove the restrictions.
^Not sure what country you're from nor what policy your company has around doing this. Purely advise.
Cheers,
Mark
Thank you so much Mark. makes sense. And appreciated.
Pursued both approaches, but no luck. Neither the State Univ I work for agrees to reactivate the email acocunt of a perosn who left employment (they do not agree for anyone to be them! even for a minute). Nor is Atlassan or Trello asnwering me.
In fact I even asked the admin (my office assoc. who left) to send them a ticket and they did not answer her.
I am a bit backward maybe, and perosnally struggle with huge organisations without ANY PERSON one can talk to ever, no matter what happens. How all of you cope with that is a msytery to me.
But, thanks again. Now opting to use MS Teams and integrated with Planner instead of Trello. Another way of skinning a cat. If I was Trello, I would note what I have done and learn from it a tinye weeny little thing perhaps.
