Hi All
I am trying to enter data in the comments field. However it states that I require "it" (I assume the text I want to input) in "available contexts".
However
1. I cannot find this field anywhere;
2. When I search in the community i get directed to a "system field description" .. which I cannot find either.
All I want to do is apply a filter (show) so when I filter it, I can simply show people the context of the Gantt Chart without going into the details ... so a simplified version if you like.
Any pointers ?
Thanks
Hi @Gary Lau
Thank you for posting! I’m Charlotte from WBS Gantt-chart support team.
What Charlie mentioned in his comment is correct, it's probable that this field you added as column in WBS has a context that is preventing you to edit it in this project or in this issue type. I assume that this Comments field is a custom field, because the system one is called Comment.
Fore more information on how to edit a Custom field context, please refer to Atlassian's documentation here.
And for more information on which fields are accepted as columns in WBS Gantt-Chart, please refer to our documentation here.
This should clarify things out for you, however don't hesitate to share your doubts or questions about the app, we'll be happy to help you! 😉
All the best,

Hi @Gary Lau and welcome to the Atlassian Community!
When you see context it is often about the custom field contexts. Via the Jira administration -> custom fields you can edit the "context" for each field. A context defines on which issue types and/ or project the configuration of the field applies.
This allows you to have a different list of select list options per project while having only 1 field (just an example)
Now in your case: assuming comments is the system field for comments and not some custom field your created and called "comments". I that right?
You can not enter these kind of comments on that view.
On your screenshot: are we looking at a certain plugin?
