Hello to all Jira lovers!

Atlassian recently announced bringing dark mode to Jira Cloud. This news caused lots of excitement in the Community. Just in case you've missed it, take a look at this article for the original announcement.

Long story short, now you can switch your Jira Cloud to dark mode in one click. This update divides all Jira users into two opposite groups who can hardly understand each other. I am personally a light-theme person, which makes me indifferent to the new feature. Well, almost... as my teammates have gone crazy playing around with the new dark Jira interface.

Activate Dark Mode in Jira Cloud

If you are unsure which side to choose, it's high time to try the dark mode and decide. Originally, the feature was available for accounts participating in Early Access Program, but today the dark mode is in the open beta phase. For ordinary users, this means that a dark theme is already here in your Jira instance, so all you need to do is to update your account settings. 

To switch to the dark mode, click on the icon of your profile photo in the top right corner of your screen. Here you locate the Theme settings and select Dark. By the way, Atlassian developers have gone even further, introducing a broader choice of themes. You have four options: Light, Dark, Original, and Match system (adjusts the Jira color to the system color). Let's switch to the dark theme this time.

After that, the magic happens, and you get the brand-new dark-colored Jira in a second. We suggest testing it if you are on the dark side. Today, this feature is still in the beta phase, meaning that the respective Atlassian team is eager to hear your feedback.
