There are a lot of challenges that big organizations have to face. One of them is a smooth information flow and staying up to date with everything that's going on in a project, or even more often, multiple projects at once 🤯

Some time ago we had the pleasure of talking with a representative of Arena company. Arena mostly uses Jira and Jira Service Management to track issues and create sprints in Agile development processes. They were looking for a solution that would help synchronize the information from their Active Directory to Jira.

How does this differ from the LDAP import object type mapping in Assets/Insight? What is the added value of the app in this case?

Are multiple LDAP directories supported?

In my opinion, the main advantage of using Active Directory Attributes Sync over Jira native Assets is the simplicity of use and maintenance. With this 3rd party app, you can automate the approval process, update selected users' details, or reset users' passwords with a dedicated post function in just minutes.
Moreover, let us not forget that having a very complex Asset configuration might negatively impact Jira performance. If a user doesn't need all the advantages of Insight, Active Directory Attributes Sync will be a more user-friendly and still powerful alternative.
