Are you using Jira for Software development only? We don’t. At Move Work Forward, we use it for (each title here is a link to a short YouTube demonstration):
Demo: Here is the 23-minute video where I talk about all the projects above.
Our fully-remote team uses Kanban and we move things pretty quickly, but we also want to maintain a high level of quality and process transparency.
We powered our DEV Jira project with some Jira Automation rules, GitHub and Microsoft Teams integrations, Issue checklists and a few custom fields.

To maintain focus and direction towards our goals, have great transparency and have easy main project updates, we created a Project Central (PC). Each Jira ticket corresponds to a project that unites multiple tasks toward achieving a particular goal.
We added a status custom field (traffic light) to display the status of the project and weekly the project owner writes updates about her or his project. We also link tickets from other Jira projects related to a PC ticket.

Our fully-remote async team looks for smart people and to make the recruiting process more transparent and async, we use a Jira board where each card represents a candidate.
The candidates have their CVs, and cover letters. We have a checklist and tons of other custom fields related to the position, source, etc.
After each interview, the interviewers write their feedback and propose the next steps.

Many creators, working solo or as part of a team, need some organization of the ideas and video production development and visibility.
We created a Jira project for the video production. It enables batch video creation, asynchronous collaboration and great transparency around dates and individual videos.

With or without AI assistance, writing is still a creative process. Considering the multitude of ideas and complicity of content production Jira helps to the rescue here as well.
From research to publishing and repurposing, everything is nicely tracked inside our content Jira project.

Yes, everybody has questions and problems. When your company has tons of customers, you don’t want to lose track of some support requests. Jira Service Management is helpful here as well.
Considering that it is much easier to track and progress on support requests when you can link a bug to a support request and keep a customer in a loop about the progress.
If you use components in your support, you can nicely link Atlassian Compass and your development project to have even greater visibility of your processes and metrics.
Our external support project is called F1 🪟.
This 3-minute demo shows how Move Work Forward uses Jira for external support.
And the last type of project we want to share today is internal support. When Move Work Forward embarked on the SOC 2 Type II compliance journey, we needed to bring order and traceability to the customer data and production-related changes. And we didn’t look for yet another tool for this, Jira came to the rescue again.
We created a simple JSM project for internal support where our team requests access changes, new accounts and other internal instruments to move work forward.
Check out this 2-minute presentation of our internal project.
Again, here is the 23-minute video demo of all the projects.
P.S. Feel free to share in comments how your company uses Jira.
