Hello Atlassian Community!
We've already talked a lot about converting Gmail emails to Jira issues.
Now, we decided to go further and share an exciting release with you 🙂.
We've come up with a hypothesis that many people agree to organize meetings in email correspondence. More often than not, it's not just an online meeting. You need to prepare for it, create an agenda, and possibly do some research.
So, let's look at how we can solve the dilemma of creating a ticket and a Jira task simultaneously with the Email&Tasks app.
We spend half of our lives on work meetings. The other half is spent on tasks in Jira.
If we combine and optimize these processes, then there is a time that we can even find time for rest 😂.
So, first, install the Email&Tasks: Jira Cloud for Gmail app from Atlassian Marketplace.
Next, install the Google Workspace Marketplace connector.
Log in to your Jira, open the email asking you to do something, and set up a meeting.
And select the Add Meet&Issue option.
Fill in all the necessary fields. You can choose a suitable calendar, add emails of the people invited to the meeting, set the time, and enter the agenda.
After clicking the Create Meet button, you will get a scheduled meeting. Everyone invited to the conference will receive notifications.
Next, let's create a task. To do this, select the Add issue for this meet option.
Fill in the required fields. You can automatically push the entire email content to the task and immediately attach a link to the meeting.
This is what a newly created Jira issue will look like.
We stand for optimizing routine processes. We also stand for convenience and simplicity.
If we are already doomed to online meetings, then let's not make their organization and support require a lot of effort.
For you, we offer a 30-day trial so that you can evaluate the app to the fullest. And for small teams of up to 10 users, Email&Tasks is free.
See you soon. Enjoy! 🎉
