illegal character in authority when connecting IntelliJ to JIRA

Markus Källander May 14, 2015

Hi,

I am trying to connect IntelliJ to JIRA using the Atlassian Connector for IntelliJ IDE, but I get the following error:

com.atlassian.connector.commons.jira.rss.JIRAException: markal:[password 9 chars]@https://jira.***.com
java.net.URISyntaxException: Illegal character in authority at index 8: https://jira.***.com /images/icons/task3.gif
at com.atlassian.theplugin.commo...

I see that there is a space in the URL after ".com", but how do I get rid of that? There is no space in the URL that I provided the plugin with.

Versions:

Windows 8
IntelliJ 14.1.3
JIRA 6.3.13
Connector: 3.0.16

Thanks
Markus

Hello Markus,

some objects in JIRA (such as issue priorities) allow the administrator to enter an absolute or relative custom icon URLs. It looks like this is the case here - you might want to check with your JIRA admin if there's an errant space in the URL he entered for

Cheers,

Karol
