how to add a custom button in page editor. (like the insert button in the editor) in confluence

I know we can add links under the insert button in the page editor but how can i add another button just like the insert button.

Also i'd like to add links this button.

It can be done with JavaScript. Take a look at the source code of the Confluence Source Editor Plugin: https://bitbucket.org/atlassian/confluence-source-editor/src They are adding a button to the editor, maybe you can adapt this to your needs.
