continually get prompted for password in Jira and Confluence

Using AD-authentication but had this problem with Jira internal auth as well. The product continually prompts for password. It is very frustrating. Are there any solutions?

I had a similar behavior when I put multiple Atlassian products (such as JIRA and Confluence) without context path under one domain. After I had placed JIRA under /jira and Confluence under /confluence, the error was corrected.
