Hello All,
How cam we have a versioning in confluence as in all Atlasian documentation?
They can selet the product and the version.
Is it feasible ?

Hi Rita,
confluence.atlassian.com and developer.atlassian.com are both using the already mentioned Scroll Versions, but also Scroll Viewport.
Scroll Versions and its capability to manage (author) multiple versions within one single space is used to manage the multiple versions of each Atlassian product (more from an authoring point of view), whereas Scroll Viewport is used to display the content in the Atlassian design to the readers. With the integration between Scroll Versions and Scroll Viewport, anonymous users can select the wanted version in a dropdown and read through the specific version.
So if you want to set up a similar use case, you need to have both Scroll Versions and Scroll Viewport.
Please feel free to have a look at our latest webinar recording on Scroll Versions: Versioned Content in Confluence – Simplified to learn more about the versioning approach.
Hope that helps. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.
Cheers,
Nils
Hi Nils,
I got a reply from K15t support, first regarding scroll versions,
"Versioned pages and version picker can not be visible from anonymous users. There is no such option that enables that. Anonymous users can see only published pages if they are granted in the Space/Global permissions."
Then for the same question I asked regarding view port,
"Viewport also doesn't allow anonymous users to see version picker when you integrate it with Versions. So, there is no such way that I can suggest you to show your versioned content to anonymous users."
They are actually saying this is not possible but then we see pages such as these,
https://help.k15t.com/scroll-viewport/2.12/scroll-viewport-documentation-125708693.html
Which says, "POWERED BY ATLASSIAN CONFLUENCE AND SCROLL VIEWPORT"
We are confused.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Rita,
The version picker is implemented with Scroll Viewport. Having Scroll Versions only does not offer the possibility to allow anonymous users to select a specific version in the dropdown.

Nils

Is there some kind of configuration/integration required when we have both add-ons enabled? You mentioned, "With the integration between Scroll Versions and Scroll Viewport, anonymous users can select the wanted version in a dropdown and read through the specific version."
How can we do that? Is there some document/steps?
Thanks,
Regards

It looks like the scroll version is available only for Confluence hosted on server & DC, any idea on the release of cloud version of the app?

Yes, but Scroll Versions is not compatible with Confluence 6.0
Any other solution?
Thanks
Laura

Hi Laura,
We're working on the compatibility release for Confluence 6.0.x - We are progressing towards our goal to release the compatible version and we have started with internal testing. Currently we do not have any more roadblocks to overcome, but we're still working on the compatibility and fixing minor issues with the new Confluence version. Thanks for your patience. If there's anything else to share, I'll let you know.
Please feel free to watch either the following improvement: https://k15t.jira.com/browse/VSN-3087 - or Scroll Versions in the Atlassian Marketplace (klick Watch Add-on in the bottom right corner), to get a notification once it's available.
Best,
Nils

We are super-interested, to the point that we are considering whether moving to confluence or not based on this add-on. Can we beta test it?

Hi Laura, currently we're not yet ready to send out a beta. As you already reached out to us via email, I'll let you know as soon as we have something to share. Thanks for your patience.
Cheers,
Nils
