User's personal spaces need to have edit restrictions as default

How can I set edit restrictions for user's personal spaces?

When a user first logs on and adds their personal 'profile' page, that page needs to have edit restrictions on it so that onl they can edit it, at the moment it is open until each user changes it themselves, which means that if they don't do this, anyone who is logged in can edit their personal profile.

How can i set this as a default setting?

Cheers

Matt

In Confluence 4.3.x (or newer) you can change the default permissions for newly created spaces (both personal or global) in the Space Permissions screen in your admin conlsole.

Remove the permissions to add page/blog post to the confluence-users group (and any other needed group) in that screen.

This change will affect newly created personal and global spaces. There is no way to set it up only for personal spaces.

Unfortunately I'm using 4.2.7 so I don't have this feature, another atlassian emploee replied to my support ticket saying that the same functionality doesn't yet exist in 4.2.7, but a feature request was created.

If anyone else is looking at this and wants this functionality, you can vote for the feature to be implemented here:
