Transition based on linked issues (Script Runner)

Kathleen Jacobs February 2, 2014

Using Script Runner Post-Function.

Want to transition a ticket based off of it's linked issues.

Could I use 'Transition parent when all subtasks are resolved' But it's looking at linked issues instead of subtasks?

The reason for this, is we want to add these to different projects. We can't do that if it's a subtask.

You can use 'Transition Linked Issues' post-function which comes with the "https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.innovalog.jmwe.jira-misc-workflow-extensions" plugin.

No, you couldn't use the mentioned script. But you can write your own and use the IssueLinkManager to get the linked issues and inspect their status.

If you want different transitions based on the linked issue status, you have to do this as a condition to make the different transitions available.

Or, if transitions should happen automatically after one transition you could use the fast track transition built in script.
