REST Get Issues/Projects by Date

I was wondering if there is a way to get Issues and Projects (seperately) for a particular date. I am builiding an asp.net web application with a calendar control and need to access data for partiuclar dates in the DayRender event. Any workarounds or suggestions are much appreciated! Thanks!

You mean issues created on a date? You can use JQL like this

created >= startDate and created <= endDate

I mean issues due on a date. I will look over that documenation more after this class and let you know! Thanks for the help.

just replace created with due date ;)

:) Very tricky haha! Can you provide me a sample REST URL for today'd date? I really appreciate the help!

Something like:
../rest/api/2/search?jql&dueDate>=10022013&dueDate<=10022013
