Hi,
we are evaluating the Jira Misc Workflow Extensions (v4.0.4) plugin. Functionally we like the plugin and have no issues. Before we deploy to our live environment we are undertaking performance testing without and with the plugin.
The result of performance testing indicate that when the plugin is used the average response time increases significantly compared to when not using the plugin.
Has anybody done any performance testing with the plugin or experiencing any performance issues when the plugin is installed?

Out of the thousands of customers using JMWE, none has ever complained about performance issues before, so this is relatively surprising.
When you say that you are seeing average response time increasing, are you seeing that on specific actions - i.e. transitioning issues where the transition is using JMWE post-functions, or displaying issues that are using JMWE Conditions? Because these are the only cases where JMWE is actually running any code.
Another potential source of performance degradation after installing an add-on is JVM memory. You might want to check the memory situation on the System Info page.

On a 500 user instance where we had spontaneous performance peaks and quite a lot of issues with other plugins, no notable difference was noted as we installed and upgraded Misc workflows. We did however never use jprofiler to see a measurable difference before and after installations.
