Multilevel Cascade Select : Upgrade data from 3.13.5 to 5.2.10

Johann NG May 13, 2013

Hi,

I'm performing a JIRA upgrade from 3.13.5 to 5.2.10. The Multilevel Cascade Select plugin is used, so I downloaded sources from https://github.com/sourcesense/jira-multi-level-cascade-select, compiled in 5.2.10 and corrected some API updates. I'm still in the process.

Has anyone already done this kind of upgrade concerning the data?

I hope so because this plugin is very useful.

Technically speaking, I guess that I would need to use some SQL Queries to update Multilevel Cascade Select plugin Customfield values, because select list entries were stored as String value before in 3.13.5 and not anymore since they are stored now as Option.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi Alex, I used MLCS version 2.6.1 which was available on the github repo.

I made a pull request to commit changes for JIRA 5.2.10.

For some CustomField, I migrated MLCS CustomFields to JIRA built-in Cascading Select.

Which version of the MLCS plugin were you using before?

If you install version 3.x (which is compatible with JIRA 5.1 - 6.1) the old values will be automatically converted to the new format.
