Kanban Board - order of multiple statuses within one column

Shylah Weber July 25, 2014

We have a couple statuses that appear in the same column. On the transition, both options appear in the column as dotted-line boxes. Is it possible to set which one appears vertically above the other? I have tried deleting/adding the statuses to the column in different orders, dragging them up and down in the column, etc. and nothing has worked yet. Thanks!

Hi,

I think it is not possible to order multiple statuses.

There are some ideas what to test in test enviroment:
- Maybe it will works if you change the position (POS) in database table AO_???_COLUMNSTATUS. (Related information about columns is in AO_???_COLUMN table.)...
or
- you can try workaround "How to reorder global statuses" in database:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/How+to+re-order+statuses

Important: Direct Database Manipulation is outside the scope of Atlassian support. The second idea for solution will affect other status lists in Jira too.

Florjan

The position of the status as mapped in the board settings should change the order of the drop-zones for the column.
