JIRA Append field content via REST?

Is it possible to append a field content via REST API?

I mean, current field value in JIRA is "current content", I'd like to update this field via REST by appending "UPDATE", so the updated field value is finally "UPDATE current content".

My issue is I that when creating the REST CALL, I don't know the current value.

Hi Julien,

unfortunately, it is not possible. You need to know the current value first, append on your end, and then send the new value for JIRA to set.
