I'm facing a strange issue when trying to access the XML view of a search.
Indeed, even though my search is set as being shared with "everyone", I can't access it when when being anonymous (not being logged).
The main goal of this XML view is to access it from an external tool such as BIRT as an XML data source.
Edit: I'm running Jira 4.1 #519

You need to enable anonymous browsing - so you need to make sure that Browse Project permission is assigned to Anyone. Remeber that searches may return issues from accross multiple permission schemes, so you may have to assign this anyone permission to multiple schemes
Thanks for your answer!
What if I decide to go the other way around: can I include the login/pass of a user within the URL?
I have no possibility to customize the HTTP header sent by BIRT.

Ok, I think I found what I was looking for: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA041/__accessing_protected_data
