Implementation on Jira fail over

dhineshk6 October 4, 2016

JIRA was installed on Load balancer server. I have two other nodes where JIRA home and installation directory mounted from server. Using keepalived i configured fail over and accessing JIRA via load balancr IP.

I want to implement new feature where one JIRA node is active at a time and other node is down. When there is heavy load in active node it should shutdown automatically and start the second node automatically.

It should repeat vice versa.

Please guide me how to implement this.

Are you using JIRA Data Centre?

If you are, then I think you need to re-evaluate what it's for - you would not move nodes like this when load is heavy.

If you are not, then, um, don't.  It won't work.
