How can i use the like operator ~ with the List of values in Jira 4.4.5 advance searching

I need to write a JQL query as below :

"ITG Num" ~ IN ( '786','796','788') AND Env = 'SIT'

The ITG Num is a custome field of type limited Text.

Env is custome field of type Select list.

When is try to use = operator it says the field ITG Num doesnot support = operator.

Please let me know how can i have a list of values compared for a text field.

Your JQL needs to look like this

"ITG Num" ~ "786 796 788" AND Env = 'SIT'

Thanks Udo Brand!!

That worked.

Does the answer really work? Maybe I'm misunderstanding the OP but I had to do:

"custom text field" ~ "9000 OR 9001 OR 9002"

to get each issue that contained 9000, 9001 or 9002. Note the caps.

Hi Scott,

under JIRA 4.4.5 the contains operator for text fields works that way that each term of the phrase will be searched. Meaning in your case your search will find issues containing "9000" or "9001" or "9002" or "OR". So you actually you don't need the "OR" in your JQL.

"custom text field" ~ "9000 9001 9002"

should work also.

tested today n needed OR

Ah interesting. I have 5.22. I wonder what 6.0 accepts?

Need to use OR to work.

confirmed, thx.

text ~ "wireframe* OR ui OR ux"

What's the type of the custom field?

How about using just IN for that too [ Env in ('SIT') ]

Confirmed Version 7.0.2 uses:

text ~ (Option1 OR Option2 OR etc...)
