How I can I use JQL to show all issues with a rank higher than a particular issue

Donald Jones February 4, 2014

I am using JIRA Agile to manage my product backlog. I have added some stories into the backlog as markers to indicate the functionality needed to make a delivery, to assist prioritisation decisions.

I would like to be able to run a query which finds all issues in my backlog that are ranked higher than the rank of this marker JIRA. As the rank of the marker JIRA is flexible, is there a way to dynamically query this?

e.g. rank > rank(<marker story id>)

I'd think Adaptavist ScriptRunner would have a way, but I haven't found it.
