Hosting data for a Bitbucket add-on

freyr123 NA October 1, 2015

I'm working on a Bitbucket add-on and need to know if I'm supposed to host my own data or if Bitbucket will do it for me. I will for example be expanding on the issues of each repository so that each issue will have other properties than it already has. Do I need to host them myself or is there any way for me to expand on the issues provided?

You will need to host your Add-On's data yourself. Bitbucket Cloud does not offer generic, structured data storage to Add-Ons (though technically you could make an argument you could store your data in a repository wink ).

Many add-ons have their own backend that contains a database of some kind and services like Heroku, AWS and Digital Ocean all offer that.
