Extracting file names from source tab to custom fields

Our development team will be using eclipse plugin (and mylyn) to commit the java files to SVN and tag it to JIRA ticket. We want these files information to be extract in an orderly format and put the list to a custom field w/o any duplicate file name. One suggestion I have received from developer is to create a jelly scripts, which I am not sure it'll work . Any suggestion is greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately you can do pretty much anything with Jelly that you can with a plugin. The thing you need to do is determine whether the plugin that provides the source tab exposes an interface you can call. If it does you can manipulate that data with Jelly or a Plugin, or a scripting plugin like Jira Scripting Suite or Script Runner
