Draw.io app launches Diagramly

I am using Confluence 5.4.4 and when I click 'Create' and choose 'Draw.io' diagram, it creates a page, which I can save and there is a bubble with text 'Start editing the Draw.io diagram' but when I click it I am taken to a Diagramly interface which is markedly different than the usual Draw.io interface that I see when I use Drive or something akin.

Am I missing something? Do I need to update the app somewhere?

You most likely have a very out of date draw.io plugin, if you update the plugin you'll get the current interface.
