Hi,
We have recently recently upgraded our jira instance to 5.2.8 (to be honest, without properly checking compatibility of all the plugins). After the upgrade, we discovered that the 'structure' plugin (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.almworks.jira.structure) is not compatible with this version, which is quite crutial for us.
Is there a way to simply downgrade the jira instance to the version that was still compatible with Structure (5.2.7) ?

Hi Lars,
Since 5.2.8 and 5.2.7 just a minor relase, the plugins should work in both JIRA version as there is no major changes in JIRA's backend.
You seems to have 2 options here:
- Downgrade JIRA to 5.2.7 by restoring from XML backup prior upgrading to 5.2.8
- Test if the plugin is working in JIRA 5.2.8, or you can request to the plugin's vendor to provide the latest compatible version with JIRA
Hope this helps.
Hello Vicky,
thanks for the prompt response.
I have tried both options:
1, restored xml backup from the previous version (5.1.3) - the project structure is restored, but the version of jira stays on 5.2.8.
2, plugin is not working with Jira 5.2.8 (as mentioned in the link above), the issue has been raised by the plugin developer as https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-32038

You'll need to install a fresh Jira 5.2.7 and restore the backup into that instance.

Lars, we have released Structure 2.1.1, which fixes JIRA 5.2.8 compatibility.
