Do I retain legal ownership of the code I upload on bitbucket cloud

David Latapie July 5, 2016

Hello,

Well, as the title says. I'm pretty sure Bitbucket has no intention of "stealing" code that is on bitbucket, but where in the terms of service or else is it mentionned that I remain the owner of the code I post on bitbucket?

Thank you

Yes, your code is your own. Section 7.4 of the user agreement covers this:

You will retain all right, title and interest in and to Your Data in the form provided to Atlassian.

You can find that in section 7.4 of the Customer Agreement here:

Hello There,

Sorry to jump into this thread but I was looking over the customer-agreement and was not able to find the ownership section.

I understand this was answered back in 2016, so not sure if things have changed since then?

Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

Section 5.1:

5.1. Using Your Data to provide Cloud Products to You. You retain all right, title and interest in and to Your Data in the form submitted to the Cloud Products.
