Add a prefix or replace part of the name whilst copying pages

Christopher Klinge March 11, 2016

Hi,

we are considering using your Space Admin plugin to replace both Copy Space and Copy Page Tree. It has all of the required features (and more) except for one: Copy Page Tree is capable of not only adding suffixes to pages whilst copying them, it can add prefixes and replace parts of the pages' names whilst copying. We would be very pleased if you decided to add this (given your plugins capabilities) small feature.

Best Regards,

Christopher

Hi Christopher,

Thank you for your feedback!

Our next release is in development and a page name's prefix whilst copying will be part of it.

We'll have a look if we can implement some more features to the copy functionality in future.

Can you explain your use case? Maybe we can find another way to accomplish what you'll do.

Kind regards,

Daniel

Hello Daniel,

we often copy lots of pages both within and across spaces. One use case is copying documentation for one version of our software to use as basis for a new version. In this case, we'd like to replace the version number whenever it occurs in the name of a page. Given the fairly large number of pages, we prefer not to rename them by hand.

Best regards,

Christopher Klinge
