Atlassian's second annual Sustainability Report is out this week!
This report, which covers our progress from July 1, 2019, to June 30, 2020, details Atlassian’s progress and trajectory across four sustainability pillars: planet, customers, people, and community.
The report has deeper disclosures and data and includes Atlassian’s diversity, equity, and inclusion reporting. We believe any sincere sustainability efforts must acknowledge the interlocking impacts of climate change, structural racial and gender inequality, and widening social and economic gaps. We can’t treat these issues as siloed challenges; they influence and amplify one another.
We also lay out our trajectory for the year to come and identify emerging issues we think all companies should be talking about.
We are agile in our approach to sustainability reporting and referred to our first report, launched in April 2020, as a “minimum viable product” (MVP) that we would build on over time. After that first MVP report, we collected feedback from peers, sustainability professionals, investors, and employees and heard that while we’d created a clear and accessible report, we needed to level up our disclosure and progress-tracking efforts. So that's what we did with our "MVP 2.0."
And to that end - we'd love to hear your feedback and thoughts on this version, so we can improve next year's report! Comment below or email us at sustainability@atlassian.com with your ideas.
A must read kind of document.
