JIRA KanBan 'In progress' changes Assignee

Currently I have several projects setup, and a single KanBan/Agile board which has shares for all of these.

I have created all of the cards I need, however when I move a users card from 'To do' to 'In Progress', for some reason the assignee changes from a specific user, and gets assigned to me.

I would like for any cards moved to keep the original assignee.

Any suggestions what could be wrong in my configuration?

Hi Jamie,

There is probably a workflow post function on the transition from To do to In Progress that automatically assigns the issue to the user who moves the issue.

If you have administrator rights on you instance you should be able to edit the workflow transition and remove this post function.

Best regards,

Peter
