Per https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AGILE/Cycle+Time,

"Cycle Time is the time taken from when work begins on an issue to when work is completed on that issue."

Can any one elaborate? I haven't been able to find out what that means -- when an issue is created? When a specific workflow event happens? When certain fields are updated?

Because in our Kanban board, there are open issues that display cycle time.

I imagine this is powered by post functions that fire the Work Started/Stopped On Issue events.

If you're using a custom workflow, you should ensure that this event is fired on the appropriate transitions.
