Epics showing up as issues without epics on my Scrum Board

Hello

wondering why 2 of my epics show up at the bottom of my scrum board as cards under issues without epics, and also have their own swimlanes? None of the other epics have their own cards, but all have their own swimlanes. thanks.

Figured it out - the two epics were assigned to the sprint. I initially thought it was necessary to put an epic into a sprint for it to get it's own partition. However I now realize you only have to bring an issue from that epic into the sprint for a partition to be created.

Thanks David. You answered my question in mind.
