Does anyone use both Scrum and Kanban for 1 project?

Tamarin Sacks October 29, 2018

Hi there

Does anyone use a scrum board for planning - with similiar columns to :

  • To-do
  • In progress
  • Development done
  • Development tested (definition of done)

And then uses a Kanban board - with similiar columns to:

  • UAT
  • Ready for Beta
  • In production

We have our two board linked but when we try to close our sprint we get the following error: ' this issue cannot be edited because of its workflow status.image.png

Hi @Tamarin Sacks,

In our projects we often use Scrum board for ongoing iteration and Kanban board to manage an Epics and a high level roadmap.

So that, Epics, Stories, Tasks and Bugs belongs to the same Project, but as long as their lifetime differs and they share same workflow schema - it doesn't lead to the conflicts.

There're few cases that looks like similar to yours:

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Pavel
